Scope

This policy applies to visitors and organizational representatives who use the website, submit a Build Your Cobot brief, or contact us. It does not cover third-party sites linked from ours.

Information we collect

Information you provide. Name, business email, organization, job title, industry, organization size, country, phone (optional), description of the work requested, budget and timeline ranges, and consent records.

Technical and security data. Browser type, pages viewed, referring URL, approximate time of interaction, and a one-way hash of network address used for abuse prevention and rate limiting. We do not store raw IP addresses in lead or analytics records.

First-party analytics events. Product events such as homepage viewed, intake started, step completed, abandoned, or submitted, and industry or robotics pages viewed. Events may include a temporary browser session identifier, path, and limited event metadata.

How we use information

• Evaluate cobot briefs and respond to business inquiries
• Send confirmation and follow-up messages you initiate
• Operate, secure, and improve the website and intake systems
• Understand aggregate demand and conversion performance
• Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use

We do not sell personal information. We do not use the website to provide credit decisions, medical advice, or investment advice.

Legal bases (where applicable)

Where required, we process information based on your consent (for inquiry submissions), our legitimate interests in operating a B2B website and responding to organizational requests, and compliance with legal obligations.

Sharing and processors

We share information only with service providers acting on our instructions, such as hosting infrastructure, databases, email delivery, and optional CRM or operations webhooks. Current categories include:

• Cloud hosting and application infrastructure
• Managed PostgreSQL database storage
• Transactional email delivery (when configured)
• Optional CRM or operations systems you connect via webhook

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and security, or in connection with a corporate transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Retention

Inquiry and lead records are retained for as long as needed to evaluate and respond to the request, maintain business records, and meet legal or security requirements—typically up to 24 months for inactive inquiries unless a longer period is required. Analytics events are retained for aggregate product measurement and may be deleted or anonymized on a shorter cycle. You may request deletion as described below.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, hashed network identifiers, input validation, and rate limiting. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

International visitors

MakeCoBot is based in the United States. If you access the site from another country, your information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate.

Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain information, or to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and correct personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are commonly defined.

Children

The site is intended for organizational use by adults. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
